Thank you all for helping me with this question! I think I am going to try that optifast diet because I have tried working out daily and eating low fat/low sodium/low carb..... and it's just not helping (struggled my whole life with being obese)....  I am glad that others were scared to death like I am.... I thought I was over re-acting. When I told someone about me having this surgery (which I don't usually do) she was like "Oh I wish I could have that done, you're so lucky!!"   She is about 40 lbs overweight and I just felt like...... she (and my family and friends) don't understand how MAJOR this  really IS. This is not an over night operation....... and the next day you are brand new..... this is a LIFE changing event that will require hard work after you have it done. I am so glad I can come on here and talk to you all! Thank You! -Meagan

Hey Megan! I am on my pre-op diet of Optifast and I have lost 11 lbs. in 1 1/2 weeks!! IT IS TORTURE, because i cannot have ANY solid foods, but maybe you could try Optifast 3 X's a day and a lean cuisine for supper!! GOOD LUCK TO YOU :)
